It wasn't bad but thought the whole first book it was "I know im doing good in the world but I wanna be a normal kid"  Now she's a "normal kid" but now she's "Normal kid is so boring, im going to go back to the organization that I found out not only tried to imprison me but also actually was hurting people. but I wanna be special so!"
We found out more about our main characters background but it gelt lackluster, didn't really care.
Her relationship issues are all her fault, her boyfriend is only a year older but way more mature, ill chock it up to the fact that she's been sheltered all her life and all she knows from love is reality TV like Jersey Shore or Love Island.

It was a good read but Evie was too dramatic. She acted immature and all she ever seemed to do was scream in fear over everything.

Eh. Enjoyable, but I'm finding that the paranormal books I like pretty well in book 1 don't feel fresh by the second book (same happened with Hex Hall). Perhaps I'm just too old for the genre.

Review to come!

Sigh.

Another sufferer of the dreaded Book Two Syndrome.

Paranormalcy was a fun read. Evie was a spitfire, a girl who loves pink but doesn't fear bagging and tagging vampires. Sure, she wishes she were "normal" and attended high school and had a locker and all that, but she still had an edge; she wasn't an everygirl.

Supernaturally just didn't click for me. Evie is now "normal" and attends high school and has a locker, and Lend is off at college, so it follows that crazy things must happen because "normal" cannot last long. Ever.

But why must it follow that Evie loses her fire, and Lend becomes a drag? And about two thirds of the way through, that whole section that kinda alluded to Twilight, what was that?

Supernaturally wasn't awful, but it didn't have the spark that Paranormalcy had, which is a real shame. I missed that.

Again loved everything about this book. Love the comedy and emotions. I actually found myself laughing out loud and tearing up. Gotta love a book that does that for you!

Really intense book. The best book in the series so far. Can't wait for the the third book!!!

I loved Supernaturally! Evie is cute, as always...but she's also completely amazing!

Jack was an interesting and new addition to the series. I wasn't expecting him to completely manipulate Evie the way he did, and he was a lot more sinister and evil than I expected. Was he creepy? Yes. But I swear I didn't see that ending coming! In retrospect, it was sort of obvious. But he did have his fun, crazy moments.

But anyway, I loved seeing Evie in high school, and how it wasn't what she was expecting. What was really interesting was finally learning about her family. Her dad was a fairie and her mom was mortal, and how she got "lost." I can't wait to see how this plays out in Endlessly. It was kind of sad, though. Finding out you're an empty one because the Unseelie court had Vivian.

And I have to say, I LOVED the awknowledgements. Absolutely hysterical! I also love how original the series is, and that she made fun of some of the cliches in the paranormal genre. Like when Evie was surprised that vampires and fairies were glittery.

I give it a 5 out of 5. It's funny, yet sad at times. And the characters are so fun and refreshing.

It took a while for this book to get started, but it did turn out really well. I'm glad we got to learn more about Evie, but it seemed to take forever for the book to get rolling. Also, the character Jack. I can't decide whether I liked how he was written or not. I'll say that I did. It just made me sad that Lend became the "weekend boyfriend" who only showed up at inconvenient moments, while Jack seemed to take the place of the male character. Anywho, this wasn't as great as the first book, but it was still a decent read!
