Okay I hated the idea that Michael and Rika were having troubles in paradise. And I hateeeeeeeeee the “keeping secrets from your spouse” trope. Like JUST COMMUNICATE. But I LOVED the bonus scene with Winter and Damon 🥹 overall this was fine

I don't know why Rika thought it was okay to keep something big like that from Michael for a whole year. Not sure why Michael got so mad at Kai for being alone in the bathroom with Rika.. The best part of this was Damon and Winter's birth story.. I never thought I would have a soft spot for Damon.. I wish we got to see how Rika took the news that her and Damon were brother and sister(I love how protective he is of her).. It seems like Damon is closer to Rika than Banks as crazy as he was over Banks.. Maybe because Rika is like the girl version of him in some ways..

This didn't add anything to the series for me. Some nice little scenes, but nothing that couldn't have just been added to the next book in a lot less words.

I feel like every book makes me like Rika a lot less which is unfortunate, and this didn't help. The power-hungry 'I'm a bad bitch now' vibe just isn't doing it for me at all, and I don't like it on her.

The only good thing about this for me was Damon and Winter. Would have liked more Kai and Banks too.

And I am just prayingggg for a happy ending for Alex
