Well I had to read it because all of the hype. There’s lots of “characters” in this book. I would rate this higher if it wasn’t true (or at least mostly true). It’s depressing that this is what my country has come to.

Although the author gives testimony in the beginning of the book for how he acquired all of this information, I think it is still smart to read this with a grain of salt and know that everything might not be entirely accurate. With that being said though, I really appreciated the behind-the-scenes glimpse into the crazy that has been the Trump administration and am not at all surprised by anything I read.

Not the best author and the language doesn't always flow but the subject matter is the thing and every single page brings draw dropping nuggets that will leave you in no doubt of the parlous state of the current presidency.

Well... it was certainly entertaining when I could manage to detach myself from the horror and humiliation of it all.
The epilogue is especially terrifying to me, if accurate.

This book was such a wild ride. I can imagine that everything that's said about Trump's personality is 100% accurate. He has the mannerisms of a 3 year old.

Is everything in this book fact? That I don't know, take it with a pinch of salt but it's a very interesting read none the less.

A thorough & frequently shocking look into Trump’s 1st year as POTUS. Thought this would be one sleazy anecdote after the other. Instead, Wolff’s book is a well-written analysis of the players & politics of the Trump White House. Liked it.

Not a ton of surprises in this one (you probably caught all of the juicier bits from the clips you saw highlighted in the news). There is not a single positive to take away, with each member of this administration more unqualified and incompetent and self-serving than the last, but you knew that already. The biggest surprise was Wolff's (requited?) love of Steve Bannon. That guy is all over this book, leaking like a sieve. I think Wolff can be pretty insightful about cutting to the core of someone's personality and using rich language to describe it, but obviously you have to take his reporting with a grain of salt. In the end, it was just as depressing and demoralizing as what's in the news everyday, so it took me a while to get through it.

I was looking for a juicy read, but this book was opinionated and boring. And no, I’m not a Trump fan.

This was a hard one to rate.

All I can say is that if even 1/8th of what is said in the book is true, I'm even more scared of what's going on in the state of the Executive Branch of the Government than I was before going into this book. It confirmed a great many of my thoughts and suspicions regarding the goings on within the White House back then and even now.

I am glad I did this as an audio and at 1.25x speed. Had I tried to actually read it, or listen to it at normal speed, I don't know if I could have made myself finish it without getting even more mad and physically ill at the thought of my country right now.

Nothing terribly surprising. Read it if you can't take your attention away from the car crash that is this administration, but don't if you need some space and peace in your life.
