A story about Carly who is unexpectedly place in the foster care system. It is a touching book about Carly and her feelings about herself and family. Definitely a tear jerker, but so worth it. Great for grades 5+

So, I'm feeling a little pissed off. I don't know much about the foster system, but I'm finding it hard to believe that she'd be given THAT ending. I dunno. I was hoping for something better after all the heartache.

I would actually give this a 3.5. This author does a fantastic job of making her characters very real. You truly get an idea of who they are and what emotionally is happening for them. This is the second one I've read by her and I will be looking for others.
