This was a truly great graphic novel.

I think it could resonate really well for young readers. It teaches you about how a kid went through something big. Cece Bell lost her hearing and it was a memoir of her childhood growing up deaf and how she felt and how she dealt with it. It could help inspire a lot of kids to not be ashamed of something and to just go out there.

I dunno, I really enjoyed it and it taught me a lot actually. :) Definitely a good read and I recommend it to anyone of all ages !

PS~ It was pretty funny too

PSS~ read the Author's Note at the end.

Cece's story is perfect for a graphic novel. I've never been a huge fan of graphic novels, but this one made me realize that for some stories it really is the perfect format. This book masterfully captured the minefield of friendship and first crushes. It also does a wonderful job of capturing the desire to fit in with everyone else when you feel so very different. I really loved Cece's story.
