An inspiring collection of fascinating biographies featuring federal government workers who are working on interesting, impactful projects. Some chapters include: managing the National Cemetery Association, digitizing archives, making mines safer, discovering new planets, and curing rare diseases that aren’t profitable enough for pharmaceutical corporations to bother with, among others. Effective and insightful, highly recommend!

A fairly abrupt ending to a heartwarming and thought-provoking book. As a government employee myself, I wasn't expecting surprises or revelations; nevertheless, I loved learning about these unsung heroes, especially now as Federal bureaucracy is under attack.

An inspiring book about the great work that the government is doing. Reading this while the government is being dismantled was not great.
