So I avoided Jo's book [b:Down London Road|16140408|Down London Road (On Dublin Street, #2)|Samantha Young|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1363128044s/16140408.jpg|21971325] for a long time but when I read [b:Fall from India Place|18746504|Fall from India Place (On Dublin Street, #4)|Samantha Young|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1384254640s/18746504.jpg|26629576] I kinda really really liked Cole. So I read Down London Road and adored it. Echos of Scotland Street is Cole's book and it was lovely.

Shannon judges Cole from the get go as a bad boy. She has her reasons and eventually they come clean. I did like that there was a misunderstanding and instead of going home to cry, Shannon fought for what she wanted.

"I'm here to go big or go home" made me laugh.

I enjoyed Cole Walker as well as his co-workers and friends too. Shannon, however, was a harder sell for me. She's different than the other female MCs in this series, and while I understood her reasons for behaving the way she did, I didn't like them. Rae, in all her unapologetic, potty mouthed glory was my favorite character! I laughed out loud on more than one occasion while reading/listening to her parts. Fans of this series will enjoy seeing Cole all grown up and the cameos from previous couples was fun. I also enjoyed how everything came full circle at the end.

While this can be read as a stand alone, it's probably wise to read the books in order, lest you risk spoiling the other story lines.

Echoes of Scotland Street makes a great addition to the On Dublin Street Series!

Favorite Quote:
“As the old car took me away from Scotland Street amid his incessant chatter, I felt like fate had just handed me two cups and I’d stupidly drunk from the wrong one.”

Elle Newlands does a fantastic job of bringing these characters and their accents to life!

I loved this book. Shannon has been through hell. I loved that although the attraction was there from the start, she was hesitant to jump into another relationship. Cole is so steady. His life has been chaotic but he’s made a name for himself. He won’t be involved with someone who lashes out when they’re angry.
I liked that Cole was patient and willing to give Shannon time. The big misunderstanding in the beginning was a bit much but when you realize where these characters are coming from, it made sense.
I also liked that the supportive one has a freak out too.
Plus the narrator was fantastic. I really loved how she said “wee fairy.”
lighthearted fast-paced

I like Cole!

Is it possible that I found a couple I like as much as Braden and Joss? Cole and Shannon didn't take the favorite couple title but they did come close. Shannon was frustrating at times but it was understandable. I liked that Cole wasn't perfect and his issues also came to the surface. Add to that lots of scenes with all my favorite couples this book made me super happy. I'm hoping Shannon's brother gets a book next so we can see more of this group.
Wonderful writing and wonderful story. Ms. Young knocked it out of the park again!

I absolutely LOVED this book! And Cole was so amazing, he is my next favorite in the series after Braden :)

I have a new book boyfriend. Cole has grown up into such a wonderful man, I want him. Now... Loved this book so much. I normally take a week to read a book but these last two I have read in four days. I have really enjoyed this series, how the characters have grown up and their lives have evolved. Thank you Samantha Young for bring us so much love with your books.

Classic Samantha Young. I needed that cry, thank you. Read this in a day.
I loved seeing Cole older - YAY! Although, it's not as excited as it would be if I didn't skip Jo and Cam's book. But no worries, I'm going back to that. The blurb just never appealed to me for some reason.
I see you, Samantha! Mixing the proposal bit up a little ;)

I really want to read another one quickly but it'll keep me from working. UGH. PRIORITIES!
P.S. LOVED that Shannon showed that she faced and beat her issues and fought for her man. Although it's surprising I liked this since in romances, I love the damsel in distress bit.
