Okay, finished my first romance novel for this List thing I'm doing. It's not sold me on the genre yet, but at least it gives me a bar to rate the others on.

I guess I'm not really enough in tune with the ebb and flow of will they, won't they to love this sort of tale. It kind of just seemed like they ought to have worked out that part early on and then had adventures after that solidified it. Also, the two love interests seemed more like signifiers of feminine and masculine rather than in depth characters. But, it did get some of my emotions going, so that was good.

Best read of my year, im already rereading XD

Great book. First audiobook and I really liked it. Awesome story and O'Doul is pretty awesome!! Ari was a great female lead to. The book had everything. One scene really made my heart race. Wont say which cuz of spoilers but it was really well done.

I mostly listened to the audiobook and it was the same narrators who read Rookie Move (the first book in the Brooklyn Bruisers series). The narrators found their stride in Hard Hitter and were a lot better and I enjoyed listening to the audiobook a lot more.

As for the book itself, it was good but nothing special. It really reminded me of Pucked Off by Helena Hunting because both the heroes, Patrick and Lance Romero, are professional hockey players and both don't like to be touched (though for different reasons), and the heroines, Ari and Poppy, are massage therapists. Since there was a lot of similarities between the characters, I couldn't help compare the two book and I found I enjoyed Pucked Off so much more. I just enjoyed and connected with Lance and Poppy more than I did with Patrick and Ari.

3.5. It was a good story but some parts were lacking in this crazy tale.

I have so many questions about how the strange way this team's front office runs. I am, perhaps, missing the point.
