I was surprised by how much I liked this book! I was wary of the past abuse plot line, but I thought it was handled with a lot of thoughtfulness and dignity. The romance is fun and the problems feel realistic and not immature.

Say hello to one of my new favorite romances! There was so much to love about this one, I don’t even know where to begin! Naya was an incredible heroine to follow along and I admired everything about her from her attitude, feistiness, career, and wished I could be her bff. Not to mention she had a pretty awesome support group of friends! And then Jake, cue the swooning. What a guy. I loved his character right away + the banter and pun exchanges between him and Naya filled my heart with so much happiness! I also really appreciated the depth the author added to the story and the way she handled Naya’s character and her resiliency of coming out of an abusive relationship. There were moments where I was beyond angry on her behalf, but ultimately our heroine got the ending she so well deserved!
