Summary: Alex, a half-blood training at the Covenant, must battle demons and take on threats larger than she can imagine. All the while, an undeniable attraction is blooming between her and Aiden (an off-limits pure-blood)—can they survive the incoming danger together?
Thoughts: I liked the plot, but some of the book endings could have been written better (literally some of them I was just like oh wow the book just ended right there). Also the protagonist is kind of shallow but she does develop over the series. Aiden, however is great—supporting Alex all the way through! I really loved the side characters (especially Olivia and Marcus).

Ok, so here's the thing:
I couldn't get into this book. Most of the time when that happens, I force myself to finish the book because maybe I'll like it by the time I get to the end.
Not with this book.
I read the first two paragraphs and got bored. Sure, it's a good story, maybe it was just written poorly or something. I'm not sure. I just know that I got not even halfway into this book before I dropped it. And here's another thing: I feel indifferent towards it. Usually when I drop out of a book, I end up dying to find out what happens. But that didn't happen with this book. As a matter of fact, it is the only book so far that has achieved such a thing.

Sinceramente il prequel non mi aveva convinto tanto a leggere questa saga, ma ho voluto darle una seconda possibilità e mi sono assolutamente ricreduta, anche se alcune cose devo dirlo, erano davvero palesi, ma orami capita spesso per gli YA fantasy.
Del tipo, mi aspettavo già dalla menzione di Solaris e l'altro Apollyon che sicuramente anche Alex era una di loro, insomma questo genere di cose era abbastanza prevedibile, ma non mi lamento.
Soprattutto perché Alex come protagonista mi piace molto, sarà anche ribelle e sconsiderata, ma è molto più originale di tante altre protagoniste a mio avviso.
Non sono ancora convinta del fatto che questa serie sia incredibile come tutti dicono, ma cercherò di non partire prevenuta almeno per i prossimi libri della saga perché comunque mi sta piacendo abbastanza.
