I should have fucking learned by now that I’m going to have to read about every single one of my favorite characters reliving their traumas in real time. God fucking dammit. This one hurt really fucking bad.

My review is 100% biased. I love this series. It is very close to my heart.
There is ten years between the third book in the series, All the King's Men, and this book, and I think you can tell in a good way. I think the writing is a little more polished and the characters are more well rounded and have more depth from the beginning.
Sakavic also includes more overt diversity within her characters in this book.
This installment is a little bit more intense than the books before. The books up to this book also had a lot violence, but not all of it was described explicitly or happened "offscreen." But this book tends to go into more detail than the books about Neil (excluding the third one).
I absolutely adore the characters in this book! I need everyone in this book to heal and live happily ever after. And I LIVE for all the fox cameos ♡

I was a bit put off from the switch to reading about the foxes, Andrew, Neil and Kevin and their stories to then jumping to Jean and leaving the Foxes behind.
It took me about 20% in to get immensely hooked again. It was refreshing to see the story from a different pair of eyes but it was wholeheartedly devastating to learn Jean’s history with the Ravens.
It was lovely feeling the joy of watching Neil fall in love with Andrew, Matt and the foxes all over again with Jean, Jeremy, Leila and Cat.
I hope in the next book we see more of Jean opening up more and becoming more free, his friendships grow and to see Grayson suffer the most. Also more of the Foxes, the twins and Nicky and Kevin and Jean’s friendship regrow from the ashes.
All For The Game is going to stay with me for a long while yet.
Update : 24th Feb, 2025. Just finished my first re-read and I’ve grown a lot of love for Cat and Laila. First read I was more focused on Jeremy and he protected Jean, this time I noticed how all three sheltered him.
I noticed a lot of mirroring between parts of the first all for the game trilogy and Jean and his situation and new friends. I’m very proud of Jean and his progress. I’m very excited to read the new the golden raven book 5 now to find more of Jean and his story.
