Ok so I actually don’t think anything hurts me more than an aftg book ?? every single character is traumatized deep to their bones and it kills me every time
ESPECIALLY the way Jean was traumatized. He will never outright say what happened to him, but he will give you clues, and that hurts a thousand times more because the way he words it and the way he lets it out specifically is awful omg
SPECIFICALLY ESPECIALLY when Neil is talking to Jean about the bite thing and Jean is like “ha, Drake wasnt a biter then?” BECAUSE WHY ACTUALLY? To the man that cares the most about Andrew and knows exactly what he went through ??
And then the way he was so concerned for Cody and their possible being forced upon was so genuinely sweet
Every single character in these books is just so misunderstood and I feel like you have to understand the human mind and the strange human experience to love these characters. Like if you didn’t read into it and you didn’t look at the way their past influences who they are and the effort they’re making, they’re very hateable characters, and I think that’s the most unique thing about this series and what makes me love it so much
and then Jeremy is just like the best I love the guy so much and I need him to kiss Jean as soon as possible please and thank you

Increíble. Hacía tiempo que no me sumergía de esta manera en una historia, me pasaban las páginas y lo veí con aprehensión al ver que se me acababa la historia. Espero sinceramente que haya continuación, porque muchas miguitas quedaron en el aire, como toda la situación familiar de Jeremy. O Jean y como aún le queda muuuuuucho trauma que procesar. ¡Ni siquiera han empezado las competiciones! y no me estoy quejando, simplemente quiero MAS. Que dolor tan del bueno es esta historia, el drama. Y ese final con un día terrible para Jean con los problemas con la mafía del final. Y la relación de él con Jeremy no está ni al principio, está en ser amigos, que ya es mucho para Jean. Y con Renee y como quiero volver a ver su amistad. Con muchíiisimas ganas de leer más.
