i NEED to read more about the Trojans, it’s a need not a want.
i loved everything so much, from my baby Jeremy (loved his povs SO MUCH) to the things we can understand and see of Jean’s life.
Jean’s pov were pretty PAINFUL to read istg i loved them but it happened while reading (especially the first chapters and the latter) that i had to stop and breathe ; like, i felt somehow trapped in his thoughts and it’s a good thing objectively, because it means they are well written and you’re “living” the book as you should, but subjectively they made me, i don’t know, edgy?
i love Jean’s character so much tho and, the same thing i say about Neil, the best part of the book for me is watching the found family grow and watching the lead character (here Jean, in the first trilogy Neil) deal with traumas with his teammates, becoming a family.
can’t wait for the second :)

i'm clawing at the walls of my enclosure but I'm also sobbing
may: jean is my new concern in life, cat & laila are my favorite cuties, and jeremy is quite literally perfect
i love my unreliable narrators and their stark differences
+ neil slays (literally)

I think Jean just became my fave AFTG character..
I was a bit judgmental when I first found out that the fourth book was about Jean and the Trojans and not Neil and the Foxes anymore.
I’m glad that I gave it a chance, because this was really good and as addictive as the rest of the series.
Jean is such a well written character and his journey through this book is more than heartbreaking to go through, but it’s so well done that I have the urge to write Nora myself and thank her for giving me Jean. I really started to love his character in this book.
Jeremy is also such a great sunshine character that he also quickly grew on me. Cat and Laila are also cute!
The only thing that didn’t quite catch me was the Trojans team as a whole. It may be because I’m still really attached to the Foxes, but I had a hard time
connecting to them (except for the 4 mains)
I’m really looking forward to the next book and to continuing seeing Jeans healing journey, because my boy deserves it <3

how did it take miss author ten years to write the most plot-less book ever?
