A good start to a fun YA fantasy series. Elita must unravel the mysteries of her birth and overcome a prophecy while dealing with the trials of adolescence. I loved the action-packed climax of this story and, fair warning, it ends on a cliff hanger. I felt like the worldbuilding needed a bit more fleshing out, but with this being the first book in the series, I'm excited to see where the story goes from here.

The basic premise was good, but I struggled through it. There were too many holes in the story where I just didn't understand why they made those choices.
