This was really cute. I liked seeing how Bao and Linh fought for each other despite their families' rivalry. The reveal of the true cause of their rivalry was interesting and not was I was expecting. I also like the way each character's passion like painting and writing was described. I'd recommend this.

This is a fast-pace fun read about two young Vietnamese kids whose families don't get along. It was over too quick but definitely a heartwarming story about mending the past, finding who you are, and falling in love with someone you’ve known of but never said a word to all your life.

A modern day retelling of Romeo and Juliet but with two children of Vietnamese immigrants with rival restaurants?? Honestly, I kind of just bought this for the food descriptions (I was not disappointed). This was a very cute read with good characters and plot. It was especially good for a debut novel (I never would have guessed!).

It was a little slow and repetitive. I feel like Le could have cut a few chapters out and got to the plot a bit quicker!

SO CUTE!!! definitely recommend for an adorable romance and a powerful story about family (it’s so sweet i love it)

also Chef Lé and Saffron are the best characters i want to be their best friends.
