While I pride myself on seeing twists before they happen, there were multiple times I put this book down to just stare into space with my mouth hanging open. This novel was so lovingly crafted and with such intention that I want to reread it immediately to see what I missed the first time. I went to bed thinking about this book, dreamt about it, and woke up early just to finish it. I haven't read many thrillers (this is technically my second) but suffice to say, I get it now!

This book was a wild ride. I thought I knew where it was going and then it went in a completely different direction. Love the outrageousness

I was invested in this book! It started out sooo great and then at about 70% it took a screeching sharp turn that was just a little too rushed and fantastical.
What a bummer. I could barely finish it. A twist on a twist on a twist that barely made sense. Exhausting

The plot twists and overall direction of this book were a little gimmicky for me personally. I felt like it was trying to do too much just for the sake of shock factor.

I’m not sure what the fuck I just read. The majority of the book was just ‘The Woman in the Window’ yk the movie/book. An alcoholic widow spying on her next door neighbor blahblahblah except this book is 5000x worse. The plot twist really were plot twist in the sense they made no sense to the “plot”. There were so many plotlines running that weren’t needed, the supernatural aspect came out of NOWHERE. Like actually where did it come from. The author also cannot make a convincing female leading. I just… no words.
