Alf has just got home from a much needed vacation and even though she would like to ease back into things at the Wonky Inn we all know that is not going to happen and it appears the name W Wylie may be behind it. I loved how we got more of an insight into what life was like for Alfs Grandmama when she was alive and what crazy magic was around in those days. I will be honest I was very distrustful of quiet a few people in this book as I just didn't know what they really wanted with the object and thats what made this an even better read.

Another plot thread is revealed
The thing I love about the wonky books is the clever weaving of plot threads which suddenly reappear when you have almost forgotten them!
Jeannie is an expert in exciting cliffhangers, subtle plot hooks, and quirky mysteries, all wrapped up in a magical overarching story line.
Can’t wait to read book7!

Another book in this series finds Alf with another mystery to solve. I love time travel books so this was an added enjoyment for me this time. The background story of Alf’s love life is intriguing, maybe something brewing with Silvan? The relationships between all the characters makes these books although they are individuals they are like one big family. Look forward to the next book.
