This might be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read

I wanted to read this book as a fan of Frightened Rabbit, to find out more about Scott, his friends and his final days. What I actually read was a beautifully raw story about friendship, grief, and celebrating the little things in life that you’ve experienced with the people you love - in a wonderful mixture of prose and poetry.
This is the first book I’ve read about grief, after trying so hard to avoid the painful topic, but I think it helped heal my heart a little bit. It might be difficult to get through for some people due to the writing style, my suggestion would just be to go into it knowing the author is foremost a poet.
Definitely recommend if you’ve ever lost someone, but also to make you reflect on your friendships throughout life, and if you simply enjoy poetry and playing with language.

Wasn’t keen on the florid writing style (a me problem), although the book has made me love and value my friends in a way that I hadn’t thought of before.
