I love the little people, big dreams books. They are well written, tell a delightful true story in an age appropriate way and have beautiful illustrations.

This is a wonderful introduction into teaching children about art. My daughter loved seeing Jean-Michel's art represented in the illustrations. I would love to see more of these books written about artist's. I didn't know much of his story before this book, but I will be looking for more to read about him!

The publisher made a copy of this book available on Netgalley. The thoughts and opinions here are my honest review.

What a fast, cut-too-short life.

Really cute! I was excited when I saw that the Little People series would be expanding, and this book was better than I expected.

Another great addition from Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara, this one I didn’t know too much about so it’s great to learn things you didn’t know. These books are great for little people, but they also teach big people new things too. Wonderful illustrations as always and well written.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

Thank you Netgalley for this e-arc. All opinions are 100% my own.

I would like to know more about this artist and I'm shocked I haven't learned about him, particularly as he was friends with Andy Warhol and I remember a few classes on that artist.

I loved how he opened conversations of racism and social inequality through his graffiti.

Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy! >(^_^)<

A good child-sized biography of Basquiat, which is great for introducing kids to this icon.

I'll be the first to say I don't get graffiti - lets deface. that building with my art work because well I'm a selfish git seems to be the theme of it, that aside and whilst I didn't really understand this geezer on a deeper level, this was a decent introduction to his life.
Will I read more about him.
Perhaps, maybe I need to to get a full understanding of who he was, but I'm not sure I ever will.

I don't know much about art, so I didn't know Jean-Michel. But I liked it. It is good to see books that address the most diverse outstanding personalities in each area.
