It was terrible.  To many paragraphs and the monologue of the man character were terrible. You heartbroken but almost kiss someone else.

It took me awhile to warm up to this book.   It started a bit slow for me, but when I got to about 50% I just HAD to finish it.  A lovely romance with all the feels.   Ash and Kell are wonderful.   Would love to see a sequel with Jess and Jonah :)

I won a copy in a giveaway on Bookriot.

The perfect fun summer read I needed after a heavy book. For me this book was fun and a nice quick read. If you love reality tv and family drama this one gives you some of that. The storyline has 3 brothers who are all in the entertainment industry try their hand at a reality tv show following their lives. It’s a friends to lovers story which I always love. It’s also about the relationships between the brothers themselves, and with their manager Kell. Overall I enjoyed the read and liked it was a book I could just get lost in.

I voluntarily received a free copy from NetGalley and all opinions are my own

I was excited for a romance with Crohn’s rep but the writing was just ok. The Hollywood aspect and fake dating were fun but there wasn’t enough development of the romance for me.

Haleigh Wenger offers a fresh look on the Hollywood romance trope by focusing on a manager.

Kell is the manager for three brothers - hearthrob Ryan (whom she's in love with), steady and sensible Ash (her best friend from university) and the flighty youngest Jonah. She finds herself upended when Ryan announces his sudden engagement to a woman he met a few days previously (just after she and him had 'a moment'). Added to this, Ryan has signed (without Kell's knowledge) him and his brothers to a reality show.

The premise of this book had a lot of promise, unfortunately it fell short for me. I found the pacing lagged at times, and the shenanigans Kell faced being undermined by her clients and their agent Judith infuriating, that I ended up skimming. I do wish Judith had a bit of a reckoning for signing up all three of her clients up to a show when it was arranged with only one. Totally unprofessional. While the resolution made up for those middling parts, I think these issues made this just a like for me. I did like the clear tension and chemistry between Kell and Ash though, so I still think that if you like a Hollywood romance trope, you should add this to your pile (just because I am not a five star reviewer I still think you should read it!)

Thanks to CamCat Books and NetGalley for the ARC.

This book was such a fun read. I loved that it's a different setting than what im used to reading about. The world of the famous is always so exclusive and this gives a closer look.

I really enjoy a good friends to lovers as well, especially with these lovable characters, who have kind of been idiots not to notice they love each other.

Overall totally recommend!

Thanks to netgalley and the author for sending me the arc in exchange for an honest review

Managing the Matthews by Haleigh Wenger is the first book I’ve read by this author. When I read the description I was super interested. I always enjoy a good friends to lovers storyline which this book had but with addition of the reality tv show angle it really upped it for me. The writing was well done and I could clearly imagine the world I was reading. I read the book cover to cover not wanting to put the book down. The book had some really great emotional moments as well as some great humor. I really liked the characters of Kell and Ash, I think they complemented each other well. Their friendship was strong and it was easy to believe the transition into something more. I will say the only thing that felt off was the infatuation with Ryan. Maybe something went over my head with him but I just couldn’t see it. I would love to see more with Jonah, I hope there’s another book. But overall a great read and I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of the author’s books.

I adore Haleigh's books, but I think this one might be my favorite. I loved the Jonas Brother's inspiration and I liked how each brother was unique and developed. I thought it was so well done that Kell was head over heels for Ryan at first, but came to fall rest in love with Ash. It was so sweet and the perfect friends to lovers moment. I also loved the Crohn's disease rep and I always think experiences like that are important to showcase in books. The development of Kell and Ash's relationship was a true slow burn, but it worked so so well. I just wish the break up didn't last as long as I would have loved to see more of their lovey dovey moments. This was so cute and I loved the friendships as well as the love story. Thank you to Haleigh for sending me an ARC!!

Kell is the manager of 3 brothers who are also big time Hollywood actors: Ryan, Ash, and Jonah. She’s also been best friends with Ash since college. After Ryan’s sudden engagement and the opportunity for a reality show, Kell and Ash have to navigate their own relationship.

I was beyond excited for this book. Jonas Brothers inspired characters? Friends to lovers? Fake dating? Dual POV? Sign me up. I really loved the characters and how the story outside of the romance developed. I don’t know how Haleigh Wenger did it but even the background characters bad development without it being distracting. I love how she creates a world and backgrounds.

However, it never really felt like the romance itself developed. The only reason I knew Ash was the eventual love interest is because his POV was part of it. Every step just felt like it had no lead up. Like there was one hint of something that felt out of the blue and then all of a sudden he was obsessed with her. I wanted to root for them through the build up and the pining but there just really wasn’t much for the first entire half of the book and then the rest felt rushed.

The story of everyone doing the reality show and working through a weird time to grow and get to where they wanted to be? Great! Super interesting! The story of their romance? Fine.

It wasn’t a bad book, I just wasn’t really rooting for them. If the pining and build up isn’t as important to you, I think you’ll love it. It just wasn’t there for me. However, if there’s follow up books about Jonah and Ryan I will still give those a shot.
