I don't quite know what to make of this. I didn't read it for forever because, honestly, it's a hipster darling. I was afraid that would color my perception of the novel's content. And that being beloved by that subset made it awful.
When I actually got around to picking it up, I liked it. -Really- liked the first half. The second half I was less keen on. Some of the vague sentence interjections got to me. On the whole, the story is unbelieveable in a great way. But sometimes the characters are unbelieveable in an undeveloped way. Just sometimes though, I really did like this book overall. There were just a couple things preventing it from being a favorite (things I feel like I can't pin down in words *exactly* but I know are there...)
