Honestly, I forgot how quickly this book goes once it gets going. Not really all that much happens besides Montag changing his mind and trying to figure out how to save the books. It's a bit chilling how much this is relatable to the current rash of book challenges happening across the United States. Like some of the points Beatty brings up are absolutely points that people would use to ban books today.
Censorship and the controlling of knowledge is a staple of any kind of dystopian fiction, and a staple of anyone who wants to take power just for the sake of taking power. Fahrenheit 451 is definitely a book that makes you think about the importance of stories, the impact of technology, and the way words impact our lives.
