This was a delightful story. The main character is working through grief and a bout of depression that felt very real. And her partner is an anthropomorphic shadow with book recs and tea recs? Win Win Win.

The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star read for me was the overly abrupt ending.

I was not prepared for this to end on a cliffhanger and that's what dropped it down a star. I loved where this story was going so much but honestly it just felt incomplete.
I loved all the characters and the setting was perfect I just needed so much more.
