Groundhog Day as a military sci-fi. It's a fairly short, fun read. I'd already read a bit of the manga, so the first part was a little slow-going for me since it was covering events I'd already read. I particularly liked the bit of background that was given on the mimics, the enemy that humanity was fighting. I thought the whole explanation behind them was interesting and I liked the fact that some thought was put into them. This is the kind of book that could make a great movie, but I'm really not sure how I feel about the fact that Tom Cruise is going to play the main character in the upcoming adaptation Edge of Tomorrow. Oh well.
