It took me a bit to get into this book then enjoyed it when I finally did then the ending left me so disappointed.

If the goal of this book was to make me not want to have or adopt children... mission accomplished!!!

Well, with Christopher as a husband you for sure don’t need enemies anymore.

Loved the ride, it was mysterious, thrilling and super gripping. I will definitely read more from this author and the audiobook was fantastic!
I take one star for the incompetent stupidity that is Christopher and his audacity. Also because some things felt a bit too heavy handed and one sides. Would’ve liked to have some more nuance here and there with Janie.

I loved this book up until the last hour… I just think it ended on a note that really blamed Janey for her own abuse and put abused children in a bad light. Yes she was psychotic but the ending with the mum seemed to try to justify all of the abuse she had done to janey. That really disappointed me
