DNF @ 40% or so. Just can't do it. This dog is the most obnoxious dog ever. When I actively hate a protagonist (who happens to be a real dog that probably wasn't as obnoxious) I just can't.

I was expecting something fun and light-hearted from this book. Instead, it was full of dense prose, and it felt like the author was just trying to show off his philosophical knowledge. A somewhat boring, pretentious read.

Like other reviewers of this title, I wanted to like the book but came away disappointed. The narrative, while a unique perspective of part of Marilyn's story, comes off heavy-handed and dull at times. I feel this could have been a good book, but it was just missing that certain something.

It was a little hard to get into at first but I'm so glad I persevered. This book is charming and this dog is just so good. More books written from the POV of dogs pls

I liked the idea, but I got bored. I didn't particularly like the way the main character (Marilyn Monroe's dog) talked. I can't quite place why, but I skipped around a lot.
