Good dark mafia why choose romance that keeps you reading! The twists, the tension, the characters were all so good. It ends on a cliffhanger and it definitely leaves you wanting more! I can't wait for the next book.

I received an arc and this review is my own.

How do I wish I knew this was part of a continuing series and not a series of standalones? With my luck it won’t even be a duet. But I really hope Zara can get her shit together in the next book and become a badass who needs no man.

This was a wild ride that took so many twists and turns
Zara's life was turned upside down when she decided
to go for drinks with a stranger after her mother's
funeral. After a series of unfortunate events she finds
herself living with four super hot mafia men. The truth
bomb that was dropped at the end was huge and leave
you with some many more questions. I can't wait for
book two!

Wow wow wow, this was a debut?!

Omg I couldn't get enough I kept telling my husband about the book, and he'd look at me like I'm crazy. But that's okay, he just doesn't know what a good book is I guess!

Plot: Young woman loses both parents, and has no idea the secret life they lived. A Simple drink with a stranger turns into losing control of all she had left. Some why choose romance, and was way way way hot and steamy. I enjoyed the hell out of this book.

Characters: i loved all of them for different reasons. Not matter how dark a character was there was something about them that I still absolutely adored. Each of them are so unique and powerful and I couldn't get enough!

Overall: I loved this book, and I'm anxiously waiting for book 2! If you like dark Mafia romances, you 100% need to check this book out!

Oh my god, this book! I am such a huge fan of Why Choose romances, and this has to be one of the best I’ve ever read! The characters are all captivating, from the self-destructive Zara to the mysteries that swirl around Alex, Ben, Will, and Gabriel.

ARC Review

I could not put this down. The detail in this is so lush, from the descriptions of the room and food to the characters - it is dripping in luxury and such a pleasure to read. Charlotte’s writing is beautiful. There’s so much sweet tension between Zara and the Cardinals, you will absolutely be on the edge of your seat for more than one reason!! And I loved the world-building and relationships in this. Everything feels so lived-in and the Found Family is absolutely *chef’s kiss*

I loved how messy Zara was, I haven’t read a lot of books where the FMC has struggled (not to this level). Everything made sense as to why she coped the way she did, you definitely root for her. And then how she’s begun to meld in their world, the way she connects with each of them at their own level, it was so exciting to see how each facet develops.

Very much looking forward to the next book!! I have so many questions and things I am curious about (esp with Baron, and that ending!) and also really interested in seeing the relationships develop more. 💖
