It is everything amazing and everything that gives me anxiety. The beginning was so chill, I thought it was a normal book...but little did I know. xD All the jokes aside, though...I am aching cuz I need more.

This was a really fun one to listen to on audio. The main character was very likable, and the story was good.

What the bleep?

I really liked the overall concept of this book. I think it was interesting to read into almost all paranormal aspects. That was a nice change, but unfortunately I just really couldn't get into it.

Evie always thought she was normal. Meaning, she always thought she wasn't paranormal. But of course, she learns some crazy new things about her. She annoyed me. Alot. She reminded me of the annoying yappy girls that I would love to just slap around. So with her being the main character I just couldn't grow to love it.

Lend was cute and I did really like his character, but the feelings between himself and Evie just didn't make me smile. I really couldn't feel anything...

The whole topic of the story itself seemed boring and average and I just wish I was more excited about it.

So unfortunately this novel really wasn't for me. Maybe I will try and re-read it and see if maybe there was something I'm missing, but for now it was just "meh"

I loved this book to no end! It has a different take on the paranormal that was refreshing and new. Fey and every other paranormal being makes some appearance in it and yet you cannot get enough. A beautiful tale of love, drama, and the paranormal rolled into one. A total must read.

Great beginning of the series - a very refreshing variant of the paranormal world and a funny, likeable protagonist plus rather interesting plot. Recommended for all the fans of humorous type of storytelling and sweet, innocent romance.

Me gustó muchísimo!

"You see through whatever the world wants to show you"

Hey guys, so I finished Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White. I wanted to read this book because I've read some of her previous work and loved it. And this book, well, it was alright. Definitely not what I was expecting, given the synopsis. However, it does not mean that this book was necessarily bad, it just took a different twist on the supernatural world than I previously imagined. Though, it did include some of the supernatural cliche's, like that Vamps can be killed by holy water, Faeries get burned by iron, etc. The same old common lore that is standard among the supernatural community. *sighs* least the vamps dont sparkle in the sun. *snickers* Anyway, although the world didnt seem too original, the storyline was, sort of. It was actually a quick and easy story to breeze through. Not many overwhelming details, but just enough one can get a sense of the MC background and her current thoughts/feelings. Which, were all over the place in this novel. So yeah, it was pretty easy to just skim a page and stay in tuned with the story. Now, the story itself, well, the first 75% of it was nicely paced. Even though some of the chapters didnt have too much action going on, it had relationship and character building that wasnt to much of a bore, so that was good. But the last 25% kind of went a bit dull and dragged on about human routines and such, in my opinion. However, I can understand why that montage was included, but it doesnt mean I poured over it. I just kinda went yep, that nice, moving on! Then the ending, like the last few chapters of the book were rushed and discombobulated, in my opinion. It was a tad confusing understanding what exactly occurred, it just was like bam, this happens then that happens and now its over. So, I got kinda lost as to what went on there. So...yeah. All together, the story was pleasant enough. Nice little read. Though in my opinion it was rather vague in regards to what was suppose to be one of the center plotlines. it was always vague about saying what exactly Evie was or what she was suppose to do or just yeah. That always seemed up in the air. But hey, that could just be my impression. *shrugs* Anyway, the best part of the novel was the budding romance between the two main characters Evie and Lend. That was just so cute. They just got along so easily, it was meant to be. Lend was just so protective and sweet and all kinds of mushy, perfect bf. They definitely brought out the best in one another. Lend was the one to truly make Evie question her life at the agency. Make her ponder whether she actually wanted to continue to track down paranormals for the rest of her existence. He made her wonder if there was more to the agency than she previously thought. He made her want to live, not just exist. Evie, for her part, has always tried to pretend like her life at the agency was completely normal. Even though she longed for a truly normal upbringing. She actually wanted to experience highschool and have a real family and date, all that normal teenage stuff. She wanted to find somewhere to belong. To be happy. To be normal. And it wasnt until Lend came into her life that she realized just how far she was willing to go to achieve her dreams. Sorta. Aside from those two, I honestly think that the real reason I kept reading this novel was because of the unpredictable, crazy Faerie named Reth. He pretty much played the part of the weird, obsessed, possessive, stalker ex the entire novel. Yes I didnt like him that much. But, I always wondered what he was going to do next, or when he was just gonna show up out of the blue. He always managed to liven up the storyline with his dramatic entrances and exits. So yeah, he was just a infuriating bundle of intrigue and mystery.
ALright, I think I prattled on long enough. As always, if you guys have any questions or comments, drop em below. Till next time. Bye

I have no issues with this book. It was a quick, fun, guilty-pleasure read. I loved Evie and she is probably one of my favorite protagonists yet. I liked that there wasn't just ONE main event, but several. I'll definitely be reading more!
