Second chance is another favorite trope of mine. With Grim and Frankie hiding out as secondary characters in books 1 & 2, I could wait to dive into the whys on fated dance kept our lovers apart.
Frankie is one of those 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' and get on with life heroines. She is a game-loving geek and not going to apologize for her choices.
Grim provides the strong silent type. He's felt the judgment of not being good enough in high school but proves it's not a silver spoon that makes the man.
I am going to say vaguely (then you can click the spoiler to read my detailed thoughts) I loved how the author handled Frankie's ownership of a sex club. Rather than have it be all about the kink, she owns the club because she wants a safe environment based on a past experience. That in my thoughts gives Frankie added strength of character. PLUS one HAWT scene
After two alpha heroes in books 1 & 2, it was nice to have this alpha be the strong, silent non-bull in a china shop hero. I love that he gets it 'wrong' but figures it out to get it right to win Frankie's heart.
Definetely want to binge on this with books 1 & 2. Great borrow from Kindle Unlimited.
