I have been a fan of Harry Baker's work for many years, after discovering his Spoken Word poetry on YouTube and later seeing him perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival twice - and it was the most recent of these times when I bought this book from him.
Unashamed includes a collection of poems from Harry, covering a range of different topics - some funny, others thought-provoking. He has a real talent for words and a playfulness that I find always brings joy in his work. It feels like a celebration of Harry and of the way he sees the world. A truly wonderful read.

I wanted to like this so much but I thought it was a bit smug and the poems felt like little in jokes the author had with himself rather than anything that actually impressed or moved me. I think lots of people will love it and get lots from this book, and I understand why people will enjoy it, but it just wasn't for me.
