The setting for this book is, in part, Columbine High School and the massacre that happened there. The story continues showing the fallout that one day had on a couple. The woman suffers from PTSD (and other problems) and the husband has his own issues of guilt for not being there for his wife. I enjoyed it, but overall it was depressing.

Yeah, I can handle some not-so-politically correct things in my books, but rape and rape justification rhetoric ain't it for me dawg.

this book was not too bad, but the main character is kind of not likable until the end. there are no warnings for the r*pe that is depicted which is kind of disheartening. the stepfather character is also awful and yet the therapist character wants our main character to forgive him and become buddy buddy; which i find awful. some of the characters i did like, and it was definitely an interesting read

So I didn’t realize this was the abridged version of this book but the. Again I don’t think I would have gotten through the unabridged. I ended up like I g this book and thought it had a nice ending to it. It’s really more character driven so there’s not a big plot to follow, although there is a plot, so it’s slow and it took me a while to actually get invested. Overall I don’t know if it will be memorable but I enjoyed it.
