Ich mach’s ganz kurz und super oberflächlich:
Kelly Oram hat einen super flüssigen Schreibstil, wodurch man super schnell durchs Buch kommt.
Für mich ist das leider allerdings schon der einzig gute Aspekt, was dieses Buch angeht.
In all den Büchern, die ich bis jetzt gelesen habe, habe ich noch NIE so einen problematischen Love interest wie Kyle gesehen.
Er respektiert keinerlei Grenzen, küsst und fässt Valerie MEHRFACH ohne ihr Einverständnis an, auf seine eigene Frage, wieso Val warten möchte sagt er „wenn du mir keine gute Antwort darauf geben kannst, werde ich dich heute Abend nicht verlassen können.“ (S. 289) Like wtf

First - this cover is beautiful. Fun.
Second - every young girl should read this book. Sex is all fun and games. But no one should ever feel pressured to stick to what they believe in.
The drama is in book is fun but sometimes annoying. This was an easy read for sure. Although it was young for me, anyone who reads it, can learn a lot. Sometimes you out grown your friends, and it’s okay. You don’t have to go always do what others are doing, just for the sake of it. If you believe in something, stick with it. Never let someone treat you differently because your beliefs are different…no matter who they are.

Sweet, hilarious, endearing and cute book - the one, that though emotional, isn't heartbreaking or exhausting. I loved everything about it - the plot, the characters, the ending, the style of writing and highly recommend this book to the readers of any age - the book is not only a pleasant reading experience, but it also raises some very important issues, so don't miss it!

Leí V is for Virgin hace unos meses. Al principio, quede enganchada y fascinada con la historia, con Val y con Kyle y con el resto. Todo el libro es hermoso, genial, fácil de llevar, fácil de leer, alucinante. ¿Mi problema con el libro? Su final, o las últimas páginas. Yo estuve leyendo el libro en un foro, y cuando me sí cuenta, ya estaba en el epílogo. Me quede como «¿qué? ¿Tan rápido?». Admito que me dejó con unas dudas, y con ganas de más. El libro es fácil de leer y fácil de llevar, y a mi parecer, el tema que trata es extenso.
Cuando llegué al epílogo, me dejó helada. Todo el libro estaba bien, estaba genial, pero, ¿ese final? Me pareció un mal final. Mal escrito. Sacado como de una fanfic. Me gustó en algo, el «vale la pena esperar» de Kyle, pero el resto del epílogo me pareció una decepción.
Para tremendo libro, ese final, no iba.

Ok this was good. I haven't picked up a Kelly Oram book since the Cinder & Ella duology (I guess technically it's part of this series) and this reminded me how much I enjoyed her writing. Really enjoyed this.

It was ok?, en verdad no me gusto mucho, pero no creo que merezca menos de dos estrellas. He leído peores.
Por donde empiezo. Fue casi una tortura leer las ultimas 50 paginas. La trama era interesante, pero mas en enfocarse en la abstinencia pienso que debieron incluir mas el tema de "sexo seguro" El único que tenia una corriente de pensamiento normal era Kyle, y solo se vio al final del libro.
Ahora los personajes. UF! Cara: Nunca había leído una amistad tan horrible. Cara simplemente era antipática a morir, no apoyaba a su amiga ni estaba cuando ella la necesitaba. Consiguió un novio y la abandono. He pasado por eso, y se me hace difícil la actitud de Val de siempre olvidar y perdonar y sacar la tonta excusa de "ella es así" PUAJ! Eso no es una amiga. Atroh! Robin e incluso Olivia tenían un potencial mucho mayor como amigas que ella.
La otra actitud que no me gusto fue la de Isaac, le tenia fe, pero a medida que iba avanzando me decepciono, Kyle casi le estaba quitando a Val frente a sus narices y el no hacia mas que ser terriblemente comprensivo y pasivo. Esta bien que sea Mormón (?) pero eso no significa ser estúpido. La relación de ambos fue totalmente insípida, para que hablar del breackup JA!
Como escribí antes, Kyle fue el único personaje que tenia una personalidad real. Se enojaba en los momentos que era necesaria, como también era comprensivo o dulce.
Como siempre, aunque un libro no me guste, el final siempre me arranca un suspiro. Este estuvo bien, pero insisto en que se exploto demasiado el tema de la Abstinencia y la Virginidad, incluso sin que la protagonista tuviera un punto fuerte sobre el cual aferrarse.
