What the heckk? I didn't expect to like this book but it was soso fun. I think it's powerful, brave and unique. I love how it identifies a toxic friendship and a bad relationship.
Usually in books the guy is a jerk but the author still makes him into a hero and makes it look like it's ok and he still keeps the girl, even though he obviously needs to work on himself first.

This book shows how you don't have to stay with the first guy you fall in love with, it actually happens 3 times. Val loved Zach, Val cared for Isaac and Val was in love with Kyle. Yet, this relationships didn't work out and that's fine. Just because you love someone it doesn't automatically makes him the right guy for you.
And also can we talk about Cara? She was such a bad friend. She was selfish, she only cared about her and her relationship. She failed to notice or simply ignored the fact, Val needed a friend. Val needed support but all Cara could gush about was how Val was spending time with Robin, someone other than her. And actually Robin was there for her, Robin gave Val the support she needed when Cara was running around with her boyfriend being a terrible friend.

Even the A group were better friends than Cara. EVEN FRIGGIN OLIVIA WAS BETTER FRIEND THAN CARA!!
and we've seen it before in other books, the best friend being a crappy human being and in the end they always make up.

“It’s a stupid concert, Val,” Isaac said, frustrated. “It’ll happen whether you’re there or not. Maybe it’s important to Cara, but what about you? Aren’t you important to her? Why are you always the one to give in that friendship? You’re her best friend too. She should want to support you once in a while. She’s being too selfish this time.”

I'm not saying it's bad to forgive someone but just because you forgave someone it doesn't mean you have to be friends again. Some relationships and friendships are toxic and they don't help you grow. And I love how Val knew that and walked away. Sometimes walking away is the best decision and healthy for you. Walking away means you love yourself.

I absolutely loved this book, I laughed out loud, I fangirled over Isaac and I felt nervous every time Kyle showed up. I think many girls need to read this book. sex doesn't mean love and it's ok to wait. It's your decision to make, no one else's.

Yeah!!! Another good book. I loved that it was about a teenager standing up for her self and others. I wish something like this would actually happen in real life. Teens need it! Kyle was a joke but man the chemistry was kinda amazing!! I think his life was really sad. I loved the "Mormons" in the book. Haha. I really liked this book. I felt like v is a virgin became a thing and not really a reality but I was glad she stuck to her guns about it.

I really enjoyed this. OK look. Even though Valarie didn't lose her virginity like I thought she was, I was proud of her. I mean sooner or later we all think we should have waited. I mean still when I have kids, I'm not going to teach abstinence, I see it as if you tell a child in their pre-teen years not to do something, they're gonna do it. That's how you have these pregnant girls left with dead beats as dads, because they wanted to get it over with. I was really pulling for Val to end up with Kyle, it was like a tease but I loved it. It was sad that her and Cara fell apart. I mean that's her best friend but I do understand where she was coming from.

Someone recommended this book and I was put off by the title, but when I read the synopsis I was intrigued.
This took me back to my high school days where I was a Christian teen in a public High School. I actually saved my first kiss for marriage, so the types of conversations that were sparked here were very relatable and pretty realistic. I’m also a sucker for a celebrity romance, though at some points I wasn’t sure how to feel about how things were unfolding and some people’s choices. But I ended up being really happy with the ending and I am looking forward to reading part two.

Content warning: there is mild swearing and inappropriate comments—it fits the situation and is realistic, but just a heads up that it is a consistent thing in the story along with frank conversations about people being sexually active.

I would personally prefer to avoid this for the younger YA audience, but for an older teen it could be a great conversation starter.
