Brilliant, fantastic, wonderful. Like reading a computer game, with your mind imagining the people doing the actions.
I realised who the 'traitor' was early in the piece.
Could imagine this book being made into a computer game, and wonder if any one has brought the movie rights, as I can picture it as a movie (although I'm sure some changes would be made by the company who makes it probably)
Loved it, finished it in 2 days, bring on the next book, I can not wait to get my hands on it.

Pros:
+ Matthew Reilly is awesome
+ the team
+ Stretch, Lilly and Jack West best characters
+ epic scale
+ interesting use of history
+ sequences in France and Babylon
Cons:
- opening sequence
- too many traps in general
- way too much exposition given in flashback
Overall: another win from Matthew Reilly. Despite its flaws, Seven Ancient Wonders is memorable and epic.

While the story could have been great I just couldn't get into it. If I hadn't had an audio version I'm not sure I would have finished it.
This was a somewhat silly book, but I enjoyed it anyway.

This is the second readthrough of this awesome book. Is it ridiculously farfetched and unrealistic? Sure, but in a time where global headlines seem more all the more gloomy, who doesn't need some good old fashioned action/adventure escapism every now and then? Thus definitely hits the spot. Just imagine the Fast and Furious franchise meets Indiana Jones. Oh, and being a Kiwi, l love that one of the heroes is from NZ!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, took me all of two days to read it...that's how good it was, I could not put it down. Entralling and fast paced with well written and believable characters, a well thought out and not overly detailed storyline this book is an absolutely brilliant read. Thoroughly engrossing, the thought and detail put into the various traps and locations of the seven wonders really makes you feel like your there without getting bogged down in too much information. A definate must read for all action adventure types.
This is, without dout, the worst book I have ever read. It reads like a (bad) screenplay. Any author that has to actually write 'BOOM!' to tell the reader an explosion has happened, or that suggests a character has died at the end of one chapter only to LITERALLY begin the next chapter with the words '...or not' should be confined to writing scripts for soap operas. Possibly not even that.
The characters were wooden, the plot far-fetched, the history inaccurate.... need I go on?
