I like the book a lot but I wanted more on the ending.

I like this book! It was easily read so I just flew through it! It was an intresting story, and I was hooked from the first page!

The book did feel kinda rushed through but it’s a beautiful story and I loved Olly and Maddys relationship even tho it was instant and fast paced!

I doesn’t love the characters because I don’t feel very connected to them, I feel like it should have been more detailed character description's! But other than that I liked it!

And also, the twist at the end?! Was definitely not expecting that!

What a pleasure this was to read.

My first Nicola Yoon book and I am in love with her writing style. The book follows Madeline, a girl who has a rare life threatening disease, SCID. Madeline cannot leave the safety of her home without potentially becoming severely unwell.

Maddie watches the world from her house, only human contact she has Is with her mum, her nurse and sometimes her tutor. No one else is allowed into their home, this is a strict rule made by her mother.

Then she meets Olly. Her new neighbour from across the street. Maddie watches from the confines of her bedroom window. Following them and understanding their routine.

Across the weeks, Olly tries and fails to make contact with Maddie, and then they realise they can IM. They start to fall for one another, Maddie has a great relationship with her nurse, and she is able to persuade her to allow Olly inside their home.

However, when you have much of a good thing, you only want more.

This is a beautiful story about love, and grief and what grief can do to you and to the ones you love.
