I loved how bada** Reese was. I loved the taboo aspect of her dad's best friend. There isn't as much steam as the first two books. Also this book felt alot more rushed. Please check trigger warnings on the authors website.

Action packed and heartwarming
This was yet another incredible story from Sinclair Kelly!
Reece is such a strong, independent FMC and watching her struggle to balance the career driven life she’s built for herself with the new desires arising as she embraces her Omega designation was incredibly moving! Especially as she learns to balance new friendship and relationships with the pack.
This story also featured some solid heartbreak. The turmoil that Chief faces over his pull to Reece leads to scenes that brought tears to my eyes and made me want to throw the book across the room.
Add in some incredible spice and an action packed plot, and this story was impeccable!

I have become a lover of this series. I enjoyed learning about the world these characters lived in because it's wildly sexy most of the time.
This particular episode is about Reese hiding in her hometown from a dangerous person she was investigating. In her town she has to deal with her almost ex and his pack - also a bata who she has feeling for
I loved that Reese sees strong, brave and a badass but who also wants to be taken care of. Cause there were 4 males in this one - the spicy scene was the chef's kiss
Although I think I enjoyed the previous books a bit more this was a different element to the entire story catalogue
I also appreciated the TW at the beginning of this book - I highly recommend reading those first

3⭐️ 4🌶️
MOOD: tense, hopeful, funny, dark-ish
TROPES: age page, forbidden love, damsel in distress, why choose
FAV QUOTE: “Watch it, little girl—” “Or what? You’ll spank me?” “Don’t tempt me.”
In general, I wished I liked this more than I did because there were parts I LOVED but an almost equal number of parts I hated.
THE GOOD: The characters are enjoyable. Pack is essentially Omega, Beta, and 4 Alphas and everyone has their own personalities and relationships. Those relationships grow over the course of the book and there's a subplot revolving the Omega's past. Spicy scenes are top-tier.
THE NEUTRAL: I'm a little over the Omega-denying-their-Omeganess plot line and Betas that "there's no way that guy is a Beta." The back and forth between Reese (FMC/omega) and Max/Captain (Alpha Daddy) gets old quick. Also, Reese literally says, "If you’re looking to play knights in shining armor, I’m not your girl. Find another Omega who can be your damsel in distress.” but then does kind of need to be saved. I guess I was hoping for more of a Baby or Queenie situation towards the end (Baby and the Late Night Howlers, Queenie and the Krakens).
THE MEH: Overall, this book gave off very different vibes than the previous two in the series, which I found jarring. I have read other Sinclair Kelly books like Saint Nick & Rouge - which I loved, so I'm not sure why it felt disjointed in this world.
CW: sexual assault and violence (in the prologue too)

I enjoyed the book overall mainly for the action, but whew, trigger warnings galore needed. There was an author's note in the beginning, but all it said was that "please do your due diligence, check the trigger warnings on my website, and turn the page with caution." That is way more work than the average reader will do, and I think the warnings should have just been given in the note directly - not even a link was provided for easy clicking. I was personally okay with pretty dark stuff, but the first page literally started with a very graphic abuse scene, and there was graphic torture in the rest of the book, too.
For the record, these are the warnings I finally found on the author's website after clicking around multiple pages to find them:
The age gap romance was a pretty big emphasis in the relationships, and I wasn't convinced that it was really necessary or believable. Everyone's personality was quite one-dimensional, and while it was said that all the men in the harem were ex-military, it was hand-wavy. I don't feel like I learned much about most of the men other than a few characteristics - we didn't get anything about their families, histories, or even much about their jobs.
While there were definitely lots of issues, none were bad enough to make me feel like I wouldn't re-read this book in the future if I was in the mood.
