Not sure what the brouhaha about this as a business guide is about. It is a nice view of military strategy from a bygone time and Aidan Gillen does a fantastic job reading the short text.
I decided to read this after the main character in Library of the Dead repeatedly referenced her Uncle Tzu. It makes sense although because it reads like a textbook it was hard to focus.

Offers a mix of insightful and common-sense advice on leadership and warfare. And is itself a compelling window into antiquity. Certainly worth an hour or two of your time.
Listened on audio. Aidan Gillen's narration was excellent.

Good book if you're a king with an army ready to conquer or defend land. If not, the points made are too literal to incorporate into normal life.
Short and pointed lessons on warfare. Most of the chapters can be modified to fit other aspects of life and also provides a good insight into what a good military mind would consider when planning battles. A lot of the lessons can be internalized and modified to fit whatever goals but last two or three chapters are mainly just warfare lessons which should be expected coming from a book called The Art of War. Overall good lessons and its a quick read so no reason not to.
The art of how to avoid war, but - if you find yourself in it - then how to win. Fascinating how these strategies can be applied to war, business or relationships, yet were written 2500+ years ago (by a maybe-real author). Amusing to read about various strategies from the past, such as monitoring the movements of birds or taking the time to evaluate topography.
