I found Red Cloth, White Giraffe, Second Place Is the First Loser, The Carnivore's Lollipop, Plumtree: True Stories, Water Bites Back amazing.
All of the rest were also very good. This was a great short stories collection. The stories were with a point, well structured and all packed a punch in them.

What an interesting reading experience! I felt so disturbed and yet, did not want to stop reading. Why did I feel the same way I felt when I was watching Black Mirror.
This is my first experience with Afro surrealism, and I will say, I want more, I want it now.
I Had a chance to hear the author talk about her writing process and I am even more impressed.
I think it was so well written. I am definitely curious about Zimbabwe's folklore, and I cannot wait to read more from this author.
My favorite stories (in no particular order) were:
- Red Cloth, White Giraffe
- Second place Is the First Loser
- Home Became a Thing with Thorns
- Ugly Hamsters (Got stuck in my mind)
- Plum Tree: True Stories (Made me really upset)
- Drinking from Graveyard Wells (I want a continuation to this story).
I definitely recommend this book, even though it might not be for everybody.

This is an incredible collection of short stories that masterfully weaves together themes of Afrosurrealism, folklore, magical realism and history into a rich tapestry of Zimbabwean culture.
