This is both a good book and an encouraging book. It’s one I want to read again, but more slowly than I read it the first time through. There’s a lot to chew on here that deserves to be chewed on. I’d recommend this to almost anyone at any point in their Christian walk. There’s almost certainly something in it for everyone who would be inclined to pick this up.

Wow! This book lives up to the hype. Took me a while to read it because while it was written so simply and beautifully it also was written to be digested over time and not rushed. Really plainly lays out what the Bible shows us the heart of Christ is - no matter how hard it is for us to imagine that this kind of love and heart exists and that it is ours! Full of great metaphors and images to help picture what Jesus is towards us; fully dismantles the lies we are quick to believe about Him and His character.

Much more to say about this but for now, the last two chapters really saved it for me.

reason: there are too many doctrine explanations that being mentioned on every chapter that i think shouldn’t take the big portion of this book since this book is about highlighting Jesus’ personality to its people.
also the author using a lot of other books references that i think take 70% of the content. and it felt so weird to not include your own research to it.

Every Christian needs to read this book and be amazed at and wooed by the heart of Christ. In reading it, I have fallen deeper in love with my Savior.
