Meh. Okay. Not the best in the series. I read it as I intend to read the final book.
Some favourite minor character barely got walk-on parts.

This felt very different from the other books but was still good.

I enjoyed the book, I have been reading Artemis Fowl for a couple of months now and I really love the series, fast-paced and a lot of action, not to mention the mythical creatures and criminal mastermind. I personally felt the plot was a bit odd, I wish they would have dug deeper into the Atlantis Complex, I really loved it. The villain, Turnbull I believe, was a villain I forgot about. So I was surprised when he showed up and became the main villain for this book. MY favorite part about Turnbull was his reason for what he was doing. It really proved that all villains are a hero in their own minds.

I love this series and I love Artemis, but I hated Artemis in this book. He has some ridiculous ailment that altered his personality so it didn’t feel like an Artemis Fowl book because the Artemis I know wasn’t really in it.

This is by far my favourite AF novel! I loved every moment, Eoin really out did himself with this one.

My daughter and I adore this series - especially the audio books - and this was another great volume in the saga. Artemis with multiple personality disorder is absolutely hilarious.
Spoilerthe flirting with Holly - so funny!!
And I love how his character has developed that led to the issues he was having.

The last two books in the series were duds for me. I thought the series was over, honestly. Then a friend loaned me this one. It seemed to be back up to the level I was expecting. However, where was Artemis Fowl? He was rarely focused on. Maybe 1/3 of the book had him in it. Very disappointing. I will probably read #8, the last book, though. Hopefully there is more Artemis and less on the bad guy.
