The first in a cozy mystery series based around a family ice cream shop in a small town. Win is reopening the family ice cream shop. However, the remodel took longer than expected and instead of opening in summer the grand opening happens on the day of the first snow in the area. Not to be deterred Win is determined to recreate the magic that her grandmother did, making her fresh ice cream and creating lasting memories in many of the locals from the town.
That evening Win stumbles across a dead body that just happens to be someone who tried to steal the ice cream shop away from her family. When the police start focusing in on her father as the main suspect, Win and her friends take it upon themselves to try to figure out what happened.
This is a fun cozy mystery with great characters. Win’s friends are hilarious, and her grandfather is a hoot. This is the first in the Ice Cream Parlor Mysteries. This book is currently available on KU.

Kind of mid, it was almost more light family drama then it was mystery murder book. I wanted more ice cream talk honestly. Also I think I may have enjoyed this more if I had recently watched the pink panther.
