Ever since Eveline was kidnapped and she met her mysterious, yet super sexy, male I was extremely excited to dive into her book. So it's very safe to assume that I wasn't disappointed one freaking bit. Mostly because I am in awe, and love, with Eveline and Alend. It was very adorable that they were trying to hide their sexual attraction to one another when everyone could smell it a mile away.
Once it all happened, though, it was amazing and I enjoyed every second of it. Did I get enough to make me happy? Heck no - I wanted way more than I got but that's the thing with this series. It always leave me wanting more than what I actually got. It also doesn't help that these book fly by for me. They are just way too easy to devour and with each clue, or twist, I'm completely sucked in until I finish the book.
In the end, I don't even know what I'm going to do once I finish this series. I'm getting pretty close to the end and I'm slightly freaking out. Still excited to dive into the next book thought. I just want more answers than questions but I feel like this series isn't going to be nice with me.

Oh my Day this had me howling!!!! I don't think i will ever appreciate a full English breakfast the same way again!
"Sausage muffin" i nearly wet my self.... that has to be the most hysterical scene from all the books so far!
After Evelin is dropped off at King Ramses feet as a kidnapped gift, all her fantasies of a soft bespectacled man go out the window, after solidifying a 3 month contract Evelin agrees to stay with the dark ones for three months while exploring their library.
Both the characters need and reluctance was amazing and the feelings pulling through despite it all.
Ramses well yes hes up there with my fave guys of this series, as i really thought him thawing would emasculate him... But he only really melts for Evelin, which makes it even more romantic... on the outside to all others hes still formidable and offers no apologies.
Evelin she is just adorable fun and quirky Ramses brings her out of her shell so much, i would have loved to have seen a little deeper into her gift (Is she part fae?) As at the beginning she notices the resemblance between her and Clara? Maybe Elemental and Fae pairings are going to be a formidable force in future books, i really want to see where the Fae fit into all this.....
Easily one of my Fave reads so far!
And that epilogue, well i did not see that coming! That opens a whole new tin of worms.

Introduction
Dark Possession is the 11th installment in the "Pure/Dark Ones" series. I can't believe how far I have read into this series, part of me is thrilled but at the same time, baffled how I have read so much so far and its going by too fast because I am just gobbling up these books and just can't get enough and what on EARTH am I going to do when I go through all of this author's books? After reading the previous book, I was really stoked for "Dark Possession" because I just knew it would be a crazy wild ride, and you know what .....THIS BOOK IS WILDIN' and I LOVED every moment of it. Dark Possession is an intense ride with a sexy alpha male, a badass scribe heroine, fabulous spice, courtly setting and an ending that packs a punch.

My Outlook
Dark Possession is a story that I knew I would fall in love with, just because of the set up and how these two are introduced to each other and their "meet cute" yeah I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation. I have to say that I think this might be my all time favorite of the series. It completely tops my other favorites, and I am not sure I will be able to explain what this book did for me. Every time I step into this majestic world of Aja James, I am so humbled and stepping into Dark Possession was NO different. There was something so magnetic about this book that I just couldn't pull away from, no matter what was going on. Seriously, if there was a earthquake and my house was falling apart, I would still be immersed in this book, that is how completely addicted I was into this one.
Dark Possession is a story that starts out with a kidnapping and yeah I was ALL FOR IT! And I mean a royal and scribe match up? SIGN ME UP right away and it was nothing like I was expecting. I really thought Eveline would be this timid shy reserved character but she is so much more than that. She does have some of those characteristics, us book nerds can relate in some of that I think, BUT she also is sassy, strong willed, and fights for what and WHO she wants. Seeing a pining heroine and in reality both of these pine after each other in different ways. I think what first sold me onto the heroine is when she shows up the hero in their first court scene together and yeah I was literally dancing a jig for her badass ways because she is like a cat when she "pounces". She has such an evolution that we get to see in such beautiful moments. Ramses really brings out her inner nature and its epic seeing her change and what depths that adds to her character. Now as for our hero, he is a sexy beast. Yep I said it and thats what he is haha and man he is DELICIOUSLY ALPHA. In fact, its been a while since I have read a hero so alpha male and I was all in for him. Ramses has my heart forever. You see how torn he is on his feelings for Eveline because he has to handle being with her very delicately and he handles it just right in my opinion.
The world building that we see in this one was a bit different than in previous books but it adds another clue into this beautifully crafted world that this author has created but I just know there is more to Ramses and Eveline and how they will fit into this Pure Dark Ones world and we are just seeing the beginning of it. There was some flashbacks but they are minimal in this one, but it allows us to see into the past of Ramses and his true identity and yeah I was blown away by what is revealed but it also thrilled me seeing the type of man he has become and what his beginning was. I will say that the climax of the story was not what I would have expected at all and the villain of the story... just shows that there is always more layers to a story than meets the eye. I was completely hooked into the development of the plot in this one. We get some delicious times with some of our favorite side characters and seeing them with Ramses and Eveline was enchanting. I just want to jump into the next book so badly.

I am not sure were to begin with the review.... this book was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! It has officially become my favorite book of the series! Aja James you are amazing!!! This is book 11 of the series and Aja has managed to make each story so unique and incredible. Not once since starting this series have I felt the stories are repetitive. Each story and couple stand on their own AND in every single book she has moved the main story forward and has given us twist and turns that you just don’t see coming and they leave us wanting more.
I knew I was going to love Ramses, but I had absolutely no idea how amazing Eveline was going to be. I thought I had her character figured out, but oh man I was mistaken. She was so much more then what I expected.

While i liked this book i didn't love it. The thing is i'm not a prude or anything but i felt that there was too much sex. The sex scenes were written well (i didn't skim anything mind you) but at some point i felt that it took over the story and left it incomplete.
