I honestly hated this book and thought it had the dumbest plot line. This was not the right setting for a romance novel at all. It took forever to get where it needed and then the end was so rushed. I was close to DNFing it and the only thing that made me happy in the end, was that it was over.

Heart of the Sun is a second-chance dystopian romance that follows childhood best friends—Tuck, an ex-con, and Emily, a world-famous pop star—whose lives have taken wildly divergent paths.
This novel explores themes of trust and survival at the end of the world. We are swept into an unpredictable journey filled with chaos, danger, romance and mountingtensions.
Twists abound, keeping you on edge as the characters navigate both external threats and internal struggles. Emily’s development  is striking, while Tuck’s discovery of his strengths offers a compelling contrast.
The story masterfully depicts both the brutality and beauty of humanity in times of crisis. For fans of dystopian romance, this is a must-read.

The audiobook, narrated by Andre Santana and Annalee Scott, was a revelation. Though new voices to me, both delivered exceptional performances that captured the emotional depth of the characters. Their narration added layers of vulnerability and strength, pulling listeners deeper into the story. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Dystopian - YES! Romance - NO!
The low ratings for this book are because everyone that chose it was looking for the same romance of Archer’s Voice. Sorry to tell you all, the pebbled nipples and wet panties are limited in this one.
What I liked about this book: the dystopian stroll through the collapse of society. The author brings you along as you walk into strangers lives and before you even leave them you’re falling in love with them. It felt very realistic most of the time, I could see these things happening. The MC Tuck is nothing like the wet blanket that’s Archer is (Archer’s Voice) so if you’re looking for a beta male, don’t read this book. Tuck is smart and strong and capable.
Things I didn’t like about this book: All that unnecessary and unbelievable drama at the end. Lord honey that was stooooooopod! Also, someone didn’t edit this book well enough. Missing words that had me rereading sentences to see where I went wrong before realizing it’s the books fault. Accidentally switching names. Reading was a chore at times.
Struggling to rate this book because while it had flaws, it definitely scratched the dystopian itch. I was very entertained for most of it! Gave vibes of The Walking Dead at the start of everything, just minus the zombies. Navigating a “dead world”, stranded, surviving and cut off from all communication. Loved the characters and seeing them evolve (and devolve). Wish I could know more about what happened to all our friends along the way. They probably all died, oh well!
