Extremely weird, overwhelming, and good. I hate Pinky and Pepper, I love Pinky and Pepper. Mostly I recognize them.

dark funny mysterious

Unique, has a lot of character. And it's inspiring artistically - and it's about artists and the pursuit of art and love that lasts forever. It's really simple in a lot of ways but also complex in it's details. The world of Hell alone is fun and wacky. I feel like there's a lot you could think about here. The use of art and its mediums is very intentional and used in emotionally impactful ways. I still can't decide whether to give this five stars or 4.75 stars. Torn between "it's so close to be deeper but not quite" and "it's a great dark comedy and the point is the absurdity of pain and life and the concept of Hell".

this to me this is the epitome of a graphic novel. the story could not be told without the art but the art could not exist without the explanation of a written narrative. both are equally beautiful though. the art style is incredible and the story is so moving and rich. I've honestly never read anything like it. I used to read graphic novels by the dozen in high school but eventually I got burned out by how little was actually moving me or exciting me artistically. this comic is a masterpiece. testament of its kind. everyone should read it. you literally can for free. the author has the whole thing posted up on their site. do yourself a favor and take 20 minutes to read this thing. it's so worth it. I will be buying a copy as soon as I can.

3.25 stars | short read. I’m not a fan of the art style but I still enjoyed the story. I would have liked it if it were a little ~deeper.

Tw: suicide, self-harm and very mild kink.

can’t explain it but there’s something deeply familiar and nostalgic about this kind of art.
maybe I was just on the wrong side of the web way too young.
anyways, she’s just like me fr
