Reread. Palette cleanser as I read something else. Loved it again. The art is so decadent and it’s so kooky and funny and sad, one minute your chest is hurting because you KNOW and the other you’re laughing. Let’s go lesbians!!!

I’ve read the original edition online and found it so fascinating. The art is gorgeous and I loved the art school tie ins. I was wanting to read some new comics and saw the special edition had a preorder open and just had to nab it. The art in particular I think is the real star of the show, but the character dialogue is also so fresh and so silly. The physical comedy is perfect, and your emotions switch on a dime in the best way while reading. There is a particular panel about halfway through where the art style changes (not THAT one… tho that one is amazing too…) where the style changes to this beautiful angelic almost ms paint style, and it threatens tears every time I read this.

I loved getting to see all the special features at the end, and see the journey the creator took with these lovely characters that I’m sure are just so close to his heart.

Anyway, PINKY AND PEPPER 4EVER!!!!

A plot-heavy, fast-paced dark comedy, dramatic irony is what makes Pinky & Pepper Forever a rare gem, unlike any short comic i’ve read before. The transition from quasi-realistic to full-fledged fantasy in this book creates a naturally adventurous feel. This book is both driven by its plot and characters. Eddy Atoms does a flawless job maintaining the realities of college and relationships, as he carries the protagonists into an unlikely resolution led by unconditional love.
