This book had no business being as enjoyable as it was.
I've got a lot of mixed feelings about this one.
First off, the spice (imo) was done well. But I did not really enjoy the very machismo possessiveness from the characters (especially the men each wanting to claim Rachel as a prize or piece of furniture).
I loved the very confident sex positive character that was Rachel who went after what she wanted. What i did not enjoy was the "slut shaming" of the snow bunnies (or ice bunnies......some kind of bunnies) because they tried to sleep with the hockey players. I really think we could have removed ALL discussion about the bunnies entirely and this book would have been less judgemental. Just because Rachel was a doctor, doesn't change the fact that she did exactly what the bunnies do.
The book was entirely too long and I think this had more to do with repeating the exact same "drama" over and over again so we could continue to get these big heartfelt impassioned speeches.
Lastly, I don't care about zodiac signs. They are fun to know about and see these lists about what books a sign would enjoy. I don't care one way or the other if you mention zodiac signs in your book. But the face palm I had (almost putting my hand through my face) when the double cancer was proudly announced in Rachel's big impact full passionate speech at the end.....
Overall, I did not hate the book (though this review may seem contrary to that) but there was a lot that did pull me out of the story. I do want to continue to read through this series to support the author and i think my expectations will now be more appropriately set for the future books.

I’ve read this series 4 times now and it’s just as incredible the 4th time.

This book is way too long. I enjoyed watching the relationships build, and the smut was fun, but this book is way too fucking long. This is the first book where I truly was not interested in the bonus chapter. Just get this over with damn
I think I need to be bathed in holy water after this. Jesus Christ
