Not vibing.

Wow
Currently reminding myself why I look more into the books TikTok recommends.

Was it awful? No no it was just not fun to read. I was tired of it by the first chapter and it only really picked up halfway through ( which with 16 chapters is kind of sad). I know it is a short love story and that there isn't a lot of time for the relationship to develop but by god could there be some time? I do not hate insta-love or fast romances but I just couldn't believe this one. Can I believe infatuation and lust? 100% But I can see no way possible that after less than a MONTH they already love each other( also "i matching robes love you" gag me )

I LOVE LOVE cheese stories I can handle cringe but the second-hand embarrassment I got from their interactions cut me in half. Their first meeting had "and then everybody clapped energy" and their love confession was so awkward and was probably the workplace joke for months. And why oh why were their TikTok references +covid?

This is not the worst thing on earth and it didn't ruin my Christmas but I do now know that this author and her writing style just isn't for me :)
