I don't regret reading this book, however I know for a fact it's something I would've never picked up of my own accord. Honestly, I do favour the first three more than the fourth. I didn't hate the last story, but I think it brought an extremely misogynistic perspective onto this collection, which is unfortunately predominant in some classics, therefore I wasn't exactly shocked, but it did ruffle me a little. Misogyny was a main theme throughout the entire novel, although I didn't realise it until this last story, tying them all together. It was interesting to read these kind of stories as someone who hasn't read a lot of Renaissance literature. In the end, I quite enjoyed trying a different genre than I'd usually choose and it opened my mind for what's to come in these next 79 books. Also, the extensive use sexual metaphors made me chuckle.
