It rips your heart into pieces, shreds it, grinds it, and makes red paint and makes the most beautiful painting you have ever seen.

If you don't have a boyfriend, don't worry it will make you feel as if your imaginary boyfriend, your whole khandan (family tree) broke up with you

Rereading it again after many years, and its still so toxic, so aggravating, so... so gripping. I love Moran and Chu Wanning to bits. Sometimes the writing is questionable, some lines leave me smacking my own forehead but I won't have it any other way, I just enjoy this story way too much. I feel like I'm reading it at the perfect time - an important deadline looming over my head (never fails to give that giddy rush of forbidden reading) and I've forgotten most of the details of the story (unacceptable cause I need it engrained in my head forever).
