Shmeh. Jack bores me. The crossover has probably been my least favorite thing in the series so far. Maybe I'm an old lady, but I didn't like having to track down the other comics to get the whole story.
Too much noise trying (and failing) to disguise the lack of truly good ideas post-jumping-the-shark.

I...actually am not sure if i can rate this, to be honest. I picked it up and got terribly confused, and at some point, after Bigby's transformations, I just went: "Is this a filler? 'Cause nothing happens to the Fables in general..."
Then I realized I actually forgot to read the Fables volume BEFORE this one. Which did have a lot of what I missed. And yeah, this volume pretty much just tried to put Jack and the Literals and the Fables all together (with Bigby, you know this wasn't going to work out for the best, considering the Wolf IS the Big Bad).

The great Fables Crossover in 9 parts. I was underwhelmed with the first part. Maybe I ran out of steam after reading the first 12 Fables volumes back to back. Reading this in German might also not be helping, but I doubt it.
“The story kicks off when Jack reveals the existence of The Literals to Fabletown, and things quickly get chaotic from there. Fables don't like the idea of having a living god who can wipe them out with the stroke of a pen, and have thus decided to get rid of The Literals. Will they succeed in erasing their creator from existence, or will he literally rub them out first?“

Cool idea at first glance, but after reading another 3 of the 9 issues, I have to say this is boring and silly, the story isn’t doing anything for me. I skimmed the rest. I am done with Fables for the time being.
PS: the original, English version is vol. 13, the German version seems to be numbered as vol. 14. Haven‘t figured out why. Very odd.

This volume features the cast facing a character that can rewrite reality on demand, and his minions the "genres" who represent genre fiction like scifi, horror, and mysteries. Pretty good, but it felt a little weird having an omnipotent villain who keeps fumbling his attempts to actually make good on his intentions.
